Path of a Changing World - A Case Study

Let's take a look at a real-life example of how digital board gaming can bring people together and spark creativity:

Path of a Changing World is a digital board game created by Robinson, for a class group project. Inspired by their love for strategy games and space exploration, they set out to design a game that would capture the thrill of intergalactic adventure.

Using the platform's intuitive design tools and collaborative features, the team worked together to develop the game mechanics, design the artwork, and playtest the prototype. With feedback from fellow gamers and input from the community, they refined Path of a Changing World into a polished and engaging experience.

Together with 2 others, they created their own game. A board game designed to bring awareness about global warming and environment impact. Using hyperPad they were able to:

  • Customize the game design.
  • Have an easy clean up - as the board game could be reset with a click of a button!
  • Easily import hundreds of questions to ask players.

This project can now be played on the hyperPad Hub!

Play offline with bots or with up to 3 friends via internet connection (you can play with anyone in the world!). Test your knowledge on environmental impact while also experiencing the impact software tools like hyperPad can have. The rules of the game are simple:

  • A player gets to pick a topic (category) they want to be quizzed on for each round.
  • Based on the topic selected, a trivia question will pop up.
  • Players answer the question and those who answer correctly will get to move. How many spaces they move depends on who selected the correct answer first.
  • Once a player reaches the end, they win the game!

The world of digital board gaming is full of endless possibilities, waiting to be explored and enjoyed by enthusiasts like yourself. Whether you're a seasoned designer or a newcomer to the hobby, our platform provides the tools and resources you need to bring your creative vision to life.

Create your digital board game today and experience the thrill of gaming like never before!
